This six-day tour takes you from Hamburg via Lübeck, Wismar, Bad Doberan, and Stralsund to Rügen, concluding with a detour to Prerow and Warnemünde.

Day 1: Hamburg – The Gateway to the World and Lübeck, the Queen of the Hanseatic League

After arrival, the journey begins in Hamburg, one of the most important trading cities in the world.

  • City tour: Discover the highlights such as the Elbphilharmonie, Speicherstadt and the Binnenalster.
  • Harbor tour: A trip through the port of Hamburg offers exciting insights into the history and present of the city.

 

In the afternoon we continue to Lübeck, where we take a city tour through the historic old town.

  • Holy Spirit Hospital and Stiftungshöfe: These important brick Gothic buildings are testaments to the city’s social and economic heyday.
  • St. John’s Church: A visit to the memorial to the Pamir catastrophe and the epitaphs provides insights into Lübeck’s maritime and religious history.
  • We end the day with dinner in a traditional restaurant full of Hanseatic atmosphere.

 

Tag 2: Wismar – UNESCO-Welterbestadt

After a final look at the famous Holsten Gate, we continue on to Wismar. Wismar’s old town is characterized by its rich Hanseatic history and impressive architecture.

  • Tour of the old town: Visit the town hall square with its artistic water feature and the imposing tower of St. Mary’s Church.
  • World Heritage House and Holy Spirit Church: Admire the restored Tapestry Hall and the Gothic architecture of the small Hospital Church.
  • The Pit: A picturesque walk along the medieval watercourse leads through historic streets with half-timbered houses.

 

After the tour we continue to Heiligendamm, where the famous White City and its history are presented.

Day 3: Bad Doberan and Stralsund

  • Bad Doberan , here we take a break for lunch.
  • Guided tour of the Doberan Minster:
  • Stralsund: You’ll reach the UNESCO World Heritage city in the late afternoon. The walking tour takes you through the old town with its magnificent town hall and St. Nicholas Church.

 

Day 5: Day trip to Rügen

The journey takes you over the Rügen Bridge to Germany’s largest island.

  • Sellin Pier: Explore the impressive seaside architecture and enjoy the view. Optionally, you can visit the diving gondola, which offers a glimpse into the underwater world of the Baltic Sea.
  • Jasmund National Park: The highlight is a visit to the Königsstuhl with the new Skywalk, which offers spectacular views of the chalk cliffs and the Baltic Sea.

 

After an eventful day, we return to Stralsund, where the evening ends with a guided tour through the old town at night.

Day 6: Prerow and Warnemünde

  • Prerow: On the Fischland-Darß peninsula, a visit to the Seamen’s Church and the small cemetery is on the agenda. Particularly worth seeing are the ornate Prerow doors, which reflect the town’s craftsmanship tradition.
  • Warnemünde: After a short drive, the picturesque fishing village of Warnemünde awaits you. A stroll along the promenade and a leisurely lunch conclude the trip.

 

Return trip to Hamburg

After five eventful days, the trip ends in Hamburg. The diverse impressions of Hanseatic cities, picturesque coastal towns, and impressive natural scenery make this tour an unforgettable experience.
